What speed do you spin your washing?

Thanks all, I think I might go for using the delicate wash programme but then doing an additional 1000 rpm spin at the end - that feels like some sort of compromise.
I'm not sure we've got space for a spin dryer, I'd quite like one though, my Nan had one when I was a kid (I lived with her) and I remember hand washing things and getting huge amounts of water out of the washing.
Thanks for the info. xxxPiglet

I spin everything (other than towels) at 600, then it goes on the line outside or on my ceiling-mounted pulley dryer
saves energy, wear on the machine & best of all, less ironing0 -
My machine has a 1400 spin and I spin my washing twice. Cuts the drying a lot and saves on the elec if using the dryer. Carnt wait for warmer weather so I can get the washing out on the line.I have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0

My washing machine has 1600 as it's top spin speed,
Delicates have a 1200 speed, but this can be "overridden" by a short spin cycle at 1600, which gets loads of water out.
An extra spin gets more water out which must be better than TDing for longer.

My machine is 1600 rpm, i find my washing dries quickly even in winter on a clothes horse....0

I spin towels at 1400 and the same if drying indoors for other washing.
1000 if drying outside and 800 for delicates0 -
my machine decides on the spin speed according to which programme its been washed on. delicates get the lowest speed, while quick wash gets 800 - cottons get 1200 but I can overide this if I want - which I dont usually bother to do!0

You people are fab, thanks - that's it, I'm decided, it's all getting a 1000 rpm spin (which is the most our machine will do) and when I've time, I'll spin everything twice :TPiglet
