  • I would definatley turn off the water supply, if only because it is so easy. I'd leave the heating on 24hrs but with a lower temperature, no reason to go above 10degrees, in fact I'd use the lowest setting that your thermostat has. No point in leaving the hot water on though, that's just going to cost lots of money - and the water is still just as liquid at 10deg as 70deg.
    Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%

    Going away tomorrow, heating will be left at 15 degrees, water off. I usually leave the loft hatch open, heat rises so ultimately some will end up in the loft to give some extra protection. Enjoy your holiday!
