    Thanks guys.

Do the other brands of bracelets have good quality clasps on them and do the have the ability to out clips on them to stop the beads from gathering by the fastener?

I know Pandora seem to have all of the above but what other brands do similar or the same?

    Thanks

Several different brands offer stopper beads and/or security chains etc. You can mix most brands on one bracelet providing you go for a 3mm chain and suitable beads. The price difference is not just quality of workmanship on intricate beads but the amount of silver used. Cheaper beads often use a lot less silver and consequently are lighter. Having said that, the supplier I mentioned before, Cookson Gold (who I have no link to whatsoever other than being a very satisfied customer) sell their beads and chains by weight and the ones I've bought from them are nice and solid.

In case you are still interested in a cheap deal, Tesco sell Truth beads and have many on half price with 3 for 2. I started a thread with a link to this here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/39655284#Comment_39655284

I went into one of the Pandora stockists today for a new bracelet and the shop assistant said beads are going up a few pounds each. Example she gave was £25 beads will be £30. I thought that was a bit steep for the VAT increase but she said its Pandora themselves increasing them, not just the higher VAT

Hope not, thats a 20% jump:eek: It will take me even longer to fill my bracelet.

The increase is to do with the rising cost of gold and silver I think.

I just had a Pandora bracelet and some charms for Christmas - I've swiftly become addicted!
I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

  • I just wanted to say thanks to Nenen for the info about Cookson Gold. I have ordered a pandora style necklace and 5 charms, which, including delivery, cost £50. Am also pleased to note that they are a Birmingham company, (as that's where we live!)
Am hoping I will be as pleased when they arrive!
