Tell me about menorca? the travel agents tell me this would be perfect for young children, we are hoping to go in june/july, our children will be 8yr, 4yr and 18months. Can't decide which area, wanting somewhere quiet, walking distance to beach and restaurants, we will hire a car too.
My 4yr old has special needs and wont cope with a busy resort/hotel and this is a major worry, we dont need the usual kids attractions but dont want to be some where remote like our last holiday. They will be happy at the beach/pool. My son also makes a fuss about going in the car so dont want to have to drive everywhere. A ten minute walk would be perfect.
A small apartment complex might suit us but can you get 2 bed ones? we dont want to be sleeping on sofa beds in the lounge really.
Would love a villa and our own pool but they tend to be too far from the beach and usually more than 2 beds. I dont plan on cooking so bit of a waste.
I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks

Have a look at Punta Prima, went there last June and intend to return again this year.
Short transfers, beach minutes away and good transport links to and from.0 -
We have stayed at Santo Tomas a couple of times and love it. It's very quiet, with a handful of restaurants and bars, with a few larger hotels for entertainment etc. Check out the Hamilton Court Apartments. They are seperated from the great beach by a lovely, traffic-free (including cycles) promenade. They have one, two and three bedroom apartments. Many of them are privately owned. We have stayed in this one a couple of times and it has it's own roof terrace too.0
