Buyer And Seller Not Proceeding With Sale

Hi
I wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction, A buyer and I have agreed that we are not going to proceed with the sale, how do I cancel this with Ebay therefore not incurring any FVF?

I would also appreciated it if anyone can tell me what happens re this, can they still leave feedback etc?

Thanks for help.

    Two ways of doing this:

    - An unpaid item dispute - the buyer will get an unpaid item strike, and you will get your fees back.
    - A mutual cancellation - the buyer won't get a strike, but IF they do things correctly you will get your fees back. If they screw it up, you won't get your fees back.

In both cases, both parties can leave feedback. The second option is the riskier to do. It all depends how annoyed you are with the buyer and you whether you want them to get a strike.

    Hi Frivolous Fay
Thanks for replying - at the moment there is no problems between the buyer and me, so I am quite happy to go the the mutual cancellation. I have typed this in the Ebay help pages, but it does not come up with this - can you point me in the right direction.
    Cheers

  • go to 'my ebay' page. on the left hand side of the page way under 'my messages' click on 'dispute console' and then click on 'report an unpaid item' - this will give you an option to 'Request a Final Value Fee credit for returned item or uncompleted transaction' with mutual agreement from the buyer.

Note that an email will be sent to the buyer and he will have to agree that both of you have decided not to complete the transaction before refund of FVF.

    Hope I have helped.
