Dropped out now university, now they want fees.

One of the terms of your offer of a place at university is that you will pay the fees associated with your course. That's why when you sign the paperwork on your first day to get your student card and be officially registered with the university you have to take evidence of fee support - in most cases a copy of your payment schedule/notification of entitlement from the SLC.

I don't recall signing anything in order to obtain my ID card, although it was 2 years ago so I may be mistaken.

Somewhere you signed up to something that said 'yes, I'll pay these fees'. You need to check the terms and conditions of whatever you signed up to.

I've managed to find a copy of their fee policy which states that you are liable for fees on a "per day attended" basis.

The policy is for 2010/11 but I will assume that it was the policy back then also.

I'll call them to arrange the payment ASAP.
