hello all
im near the end of completeing my dro and have been offered a new job and it about £170 p/m more is it worth taking the job?
how will it affect my dro?

    Will your benefits be reduced? Will your transport costs increase?

    The fact that you will be bringing in an extra £170 doesn't mean that your surplus income will rise £170

    im not on benefits.
    but my transport and child care will go up but dont think by that much

    Hmmm. Strictly speaking you should inform the DRO unit if your surplus income rises above £50 pm during your morotorium period and your DRO will then be revoked

    It might be worth working out a new SoA with the new pay and expenses and putting it on the DRO thread and asking people if they have any comments. You may find that you do have less left than you thought.

    Unless your partner is in a DRO or bankruptcy, then there is nothing to stop you paying more rent and half the council tax!
