Quick question on Kitten vacinations

Took moggie to the vets on the 18th nov to have op and first vacinations.
Due to the weather and dh being away we planned to take her today but have been told that we are 2 days out and now we have to start the course of vacinations again costing us even more money !! :mad:

is this right or just another way of the vet making money.
Surely 2 days isnt going to hurt as dh now says shes had one so the other doesnt matter.
I have to add none of my other cats ever had vaccinations and my eldest passed away aged just short of 23 years

my vet told me that when the booster is due you can get away with 2 months over or under the "due date" so im sure 2 days cant make a difference. I took my pup for his first ones last week and his second part is needed "2 to 3 weeks" after the first so it surely cant be an exact science!! i would definitly dispute it.

It is nto a booster the OP had done, the first lot of vaccinations consists of 2 injections that have to be given so and so apart.
And absolute max I believe is 4 weeks.
It that time is gone, you will neet to do all from scratch I am afraid.

Phone another vet and ask them?

ETA: just been and checked the moglets' vaccination cards. They were 4 weeks and 5 days apart, and the vet made the appointment because they were fully booked until then - and didn't vaccinate the most frequent flier on the Monday she was in for a post-op check, despite being asked (and it would have made no difference to the cost, either if they had)

Thanks for advice I have rang another vet and they say the second injection should be done.
However, if we want them to do it we would have to start again as they dont know what she has had even though its on her card.
Leaving it till after this bad weather breaks as vets is quite a trek away even on the bus

I foster cats so I regularly take them for vaccinations, all the vets I have used say a maximum of four weeks between injections, and also the vaccine used needs to be the same type for both injections.
