Bank Accounts VS Credit File

If this is in the wrong place then please move :)

I'm looking at possibly opening a few savings accounts next year.

A lot of the savings account I've looked at say you must have an account with that company

Will opening lots of bank accounts be bad for my credit file? I wont be using those bank accounts for anything other than allowing me to open the savings accounts

Any help would be great!

Each time you apply for a current account there will be a credit search entered on your credit file. Too many searches within a short time may not look too good on the file.

In theory, numerous current accounts on your file is not damaging. If you space out the applications then there is not likely to be any damage done.
