in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm after a 0% balance transfer credit card, to move £1500 from one card and £1000 from another to.
I've just checked my credit score, I'm in the fair category, 864, 16 away from Good.
I haven't applied for anything for around 6 months, but my score has been checked once by an insurance broker. I really don't want to apply for a credit card to be declined.
I'd like advice on whether it's possible for me to get a 0% balance transfer, and which card would be the best.
Thanks in advance,
Sarah

What are your debts at the moment as in balance's and credit limits?.
Any missed payments?
Don't worry about the insurance search either.0 -
Firstly stop paying for you credit score, it means nothing as each lender does there own sums.
In short you have nothing to lose in applying for a card, if they say no take that as a sign and don't apply for more.
As mentioned above if you have many missed/late payments its probably not worth the effort.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
Quit day job to run 3 businesses 08/02/2017
Started third business 25/06/2016
Son born 13/09/2015
Started a second business 03/08/2013
Officially the owner of my own business since 13/01/20120 -

The credit score does not mean nothing, say you have good or excellent on your score it indicates that payments are up to date, your on the electoral role, and few if any credit searches e.t.c
But credit score from Experian compared with applications to lenders where as lenders will score you on job stability, income, dependents etc.
So like I have said when lenders score they will ask and look for more information, and score you on these.
Experian might score you 900 but a lender will take many more factors in and may score you 300.0
