Hi my laptop ac adapter has appeared to have packed in, so i need to order a new one.
the laptop is a acer aspire 5920g
the adapater model is: PA-1900-24
INPUT: 100-240V ~ 50-60HZ 1.5A (1,5A)
OUTPUT: 19V --- 4.74A (4,74A)
i have looked on ebay but many of the cheaper chargers/adapater are "3.42 a" ..and im not sure if that the correct one for my laptop?
can anybody help me and tell me which one i exactly need please and where is the best/cheapest place to order one from?
thanks

I got a replacment for my Dell from Amazon and it was a proper Dell item at a reasonable price. I have also seen generic chargers at Maplins quite cheap so if EBay does not work out there are 2 other sources.0

most of the generic adapters come with variable connectors and thus correct voltage/ the adapter has written on it the voltage input/output details -- usually within a range/thanks mate

DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP £7 GENERIC CHARGERS OFF EBAY. They are seriously poor quality and many produce so much noise that they prematurely kill the battery and do other such lovely things like stopping trackpads working on some of the worse ones.0

Try actually shopping at a small independant.
Currys were 3 times the price when i wanted one and the computer man knew exactly what i wanted.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hi
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ACER-ADAPTER-CHARGER-CONNECTION-product/dp/B002N1MFFC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1292861934&sr=8-3
Acer use Liton and Hippo for power adaptors, also for a very very breif time Acer did what dells did, which was if it wasn't a official Acer charger it wouldn't charge the battery or allow a full system restore. (But like i said it only affected one or two models)
If you don't want to go down Amazon route then you can go Partmaster http://partmaster.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=1576897&query=Acer%205920g But its 3 times + the price0 -
