Thanks all - I don't usually work from home, and the company has only installed publisher on a few of its computers (saving money I guess), so as a temporary thing it looks like the 30 day trial is going to be the way to go.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I might be wrong but I think google docs can view publisher files ad may give you an option to edit them 'in browser' or at least convert them to another format.0
