I have just bought a new computer and I just simply replaced it - put all the wires where they were in the old one.
Everything works apart from the printer - I have looked at the settings on the computer and it seems to know the printer is there, I just cant get it to print..
Any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation

If your new pc is windows 7, the printer may require different drivers.
Check the printer manufacturers website for the correct drivers.0 -
We assume you've reloaded the installation disc?0

As already pointed out it may not have the necessary drivers.
Do there appear to be any issues if you look in device manager?0 -
I had a similar thing when I bought a new Windows 7 laptop recently. After reading loads on the internet about similar problems, reinstalling drivers etc, none of which worked, all I did was change the usb port and it worked fine. The dodgy usb works with everything else, just not that printer. It's a known W7 thing apparently, one of life's mysteries.0
