nero 6.6 problem

hi has any of you got any recomendations for a difrent burning software,
as ime buzy having trouble with NERO 6.6,
it keeps crashing before i get to thewell lets just say its nackered...lol
is there any other decent (free) burning software out there

Try Nero 6 updates if you don't have the latest version.

On a similar topic - I burned a DVD for my neighbour using Windvd Creator. I dragged the 2 VOB files I found on the source DVD in and completed the steps. This type of file was the only one I was allowed to drag in.

a) When played on a DVD player, picture is good but sound is way out of synch.
b) When played on a computer, picture is jumpy but sound is roughly in sync.

And on both, the beginning of one clip was missing - something that happens also if I preview the VOB file directly rather than click on the catalogue icon on the source DVD. A mystery to me! Does anyone know of a big fat FAQ somewhere that I can read up on?

Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.
Some other program you installed may have clashed with it.

Making a data cd is what I use for all my back ups.
And I use Nero smartstart - pirated version.

Bug fixes and improvments. Latest Nero 6 version is 6.6.1.4 - http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/nero-up.php. Look in Help - About to find your installed version.
