As from today my mouse freezes. Bought a new one and it is the same.
Works OK for a while and then stops. Any ideas please?

Is it connected via a USB port? Some USB chipsets can get in a strange state under some versions of Windows.
It may be worthwhile going into Device Manager, deleting the USB hubs and controllers, powering down completely (don't just restart) and then power back on and let them get detected and re-installed.
Beware - this generally works fine on laptops with a touchpad as well as a mouse, but on desktop PCs with USB mouse and keyboard, both stop working immediately and it can be impossible to shut the PC down without holding the power button in for 4 seconds - which you should avoid if poss...0 -
laptop? if so, try it without the battery in.
and/or do a malwarebytes scan!!
