Cannot rebook cancelled flight with Easyjet!

Alicante back to Bristol.

Having been cancelled yesterday, Saturday18th because of snow (or aircraft not being where it should be) Easyjet cancelled our rebooked flight for tonight, 19th.

Our problem is we went into our bookings to see when we could rebook again, saw a flight, clicked to take it but box that should be highlighted (the one that says 'confirm changes') isn't highlighted, only the one that says 'cancel arrangements' is!

Friend said maybe that flight's full but Easyjet is showing flight has availability though. I looked at a flight back on 29th to see if the box highlighted but no, it didn't.

Obviously, we're trying regularly but it's a nightmare. We have our own property & car here in Spain thank goodness, just need to rebook.

I know we can ring Easyjet but everyone else will be onto them. They haven't answered an emal I sent them two weeks ago about another problem. Well, they did answer but just to say they're short handed & are currently training up many more to help. They'll no doubt all say anything but what you need to hear!!

The only thing I can say is early this year when we had the ash Easyjet staff at Alicante airport were great at changing bookings . But of course that depends on how for away you are.

As we've not been able to sort this out we have decided to drive to Alicante airport tomorrow to try to speak with Easyjet & try to get rebooked. We've noted when flights are leaving & will go around 11:30am when there's more activity there re Easyjet. We are a 40 minutes drive away.

I've had problems with the easyjets website in the past. Clickable search boxes vanishing etc

Easyjet desk was very helpful in Alicante when our flight was cancelled, they managed to get us on a later flight to Stanstead instead of Gatwick, we delt with them at the airport.

I had a slightly different problem with one of my cancelled flights - it didn't show up in "My Bookings" as cancelled at all, just as if I'd flown and it was now a past booking.

I called the customer services line and waited for an hour, then got cut off. Called back, waited about 20 minutes, and just as I was about to give up someone answered and sorted it all out for me efficiently and patiently. I think your only option is to call them (unless you can speak to them at the airport).

Hint: use a discount international calls provider and call them on the Israel number, rather than spending lots on the premium rate numbers...

Drove to Alicante airport this morning. Easyjet quickly rebooked us so we now hope to leave 29th, weather permitting. Could've booked for Christmas Eve but to arrive home to no food, no shops open & a freezing home late on that particular day didn't appeal. We chose 29th so we could settle down & start looking forward to enjoying our Christmas.

Gamegal, Very pleased you got on fine at the airport, as I said they were so good in the spring at rebooking and from Alicante the airport bus is only 2.5 euro.It was cheeper to go to the airport than hang on the phone .
