M&S More card 12 months (ish) fee free BT - advice please

Sorry if the subject line got you excited - M&S are charging a fee now I think...
I got this card about a month ago before they started charging a fee. T&C's state the following:
"for balance transfers, for balances transfered within 6 months of account opening intrest will be payable for 6 months from the date of transfer at the fixed rate of 0% per anum..."
Couldn't be clearer to me - transfer a balance on opening the account, clear it just before 6 months from the account opening date then transfer another balance and you've got another 6 months interest free. However, when I opened the account, I checked on this with the (Indian) call centre. They said that this wasn't the case on the information they had: "bt had to be done within 30 days of account opening and would last for 6 months". However, I have my T&C's and the supervisor I spoke to had to accept that he couldn't argue with that - in the end I'll get my 12 (ish ) months interest free somehow. My question to anybody else who has done this is, how easy or difficult is it to do? Did you get it interest free from the start or did you get charged and have a fight to get it refunded? Did you have to write or fax your T&C's as evidence?
Thanks in advance.
