Help fabric conditioner gone thick

  • I know the first post on this was some time ago, but thought I'd add a comment as I had the same problem. Bought in bulk and then when time came to use it had solidified. Happened to various Comfort varieties.
Called customer support at Unilever and their feedback was "should have used them sooner. Tough luck and goodbye!".

Funny enough I had also purchased a Fairy bottle which had gone a little rancid (not a nice smell and discolouration). Their (P&G) response ... "very sorry, here's a voucher to buy a new one, please keep bottle for two weeks as we may ask you to send it back so we can see what went wrong"

In my opinion, customer service from P&G was brilliant. From Unilever it stank!

So, moral to story is DO NOT BULK BUY FABRIC CONDITIONER - especially Unilever Comfort as it will solidify in 3 - 6 months if you don't use it!

Or maybe give the bottles a shake peridocally?

I've got bottles of Comfort much older than that and they're fine

Same problem with Lenor.  Sent email with letter: pgconsumercare.im@pg.com  Customer Services (Lenor Conditioner Defects)Procter & Gamble, The Heights, Brooklands, Weybridge, KT13 0XP.  Stated product code (on side of bottle) had voucher (£5 ?).  Tried adding 50% water and power mixed, no difference in thickness.  Can someone who has had good results with white vinegar, provide full details?
  • I'm using Comfort Ultra and shaking the bottle doesn't work for me. I mix equal parts of boiling water, cold water and Comfort and give it a good whisk until smooth. As Ultra requires a smaller volume than standard, the total volume doesn't overfill the dispenser.
