Trying to organise a one week holiday in July for 8 teenagers (18+). Can anyone advise a reputable company to book through. Thanks.

Are you flexible on dates ?. You haven't stated where you could travel from.If you are flexible book independantly cutting out the middleman(travel agent) it would work out most of the time cheaper.

July is of course the most expensive month to travel and you could book flights independently to Reus with Ryanair(from various airports) and book your accommodation with hotel comparrison sites. Also there is a bus just outside Reus airport that waits for all incoming flights and will take you to your accommodation in salou for about 12 euro's return.

Thank you for your reply - I thought we might be best to go with a package for them all as this will be the first time they have travelled on their own. Looking around 1st week of July after their A levels finish and can travel from either Gatwick, Stanstead, Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton or Exeter - we live offshore so they have to fly to UK to commence trip.

If we book everything separately, although it will save money, won't we run into difficulties if we need to make a claim for say cancelled flights?

In the unlikely event of a cancelled flight in July you have the right to a refund or a transfer on the next available flight. A lot of these online &teletext travel agents who say they give a complete package use the budget airlines anyway, with their accommodation choice and also transfer included but it is easily something you can arrange yourself and far cheaper. If you do go for a package make sure that you pay by Credit card or Visa debit Card because if the Travel Agent goes belly up as it's likely to be a tough time for them next year you will be refunded whether it is ABTA bonded or not.
