Those are beautiful pictures of Zeb. It's horrible for you without him, but Zeb's pain is now gone.0

Another baby for the bridge.
so sorry for your loss x2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Hi there I'm awfully sorry for your loss I know exactly how you feel after having to make the decision for my 11 yr old GSD a month ago. I started to reply to you yesterday but ended up shedding yet more tears, I don't mind admitting that I'm a grown man of 33 and still miss my boy. I'm sure people have told you that things do get easier but like you I' take solace in all my pictures and few videos I have. Try to remember your cat during the happy times and I'm sure you know in your heart that you have made a very difficult decision for an animal that couldn't. I also loved reading the poem Rainbow Bridge as other posters have said. All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy...

Hi Flint
I'm a 48yo grown man and can easily shed a tear. Cried loads in the Vets, kept it together in the Pub afterwards (needed a drink), and cried loads when I got home. I still have Cat 2 to keep me company. You get accustomed to having a pet and forming a particular bond.
Many good memories. Some examples
1. Some years ago I'm sitting outside on the ground eating a bacon sandwich and Zeb is beside me with a mouse between his front paws, he then bites its head off, scoffs that followed by the rest of the mouse. My GF at the time couldn't believe it.
2. From an upstairs window I spy him stalking a bird that was on the other side of the garden fence. At the same time my next door neighbour was doing her ironing (nice Summers day). Zeb leapt over the fence, grabbed the bird and legged it. My neighbour screamed and jumped a mile.
3. Seeing Zeb as young adult cat being ganged up on by a mob of magpies. I had to rescue him!
Even though he was a neutered tom I always wished that I could have attached some kind of catcam.

eamon, I am so sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you are feeling because a week ago today I had to make the same decision as you. I have cried buckets too since then. My cat was 20 and I made the decision to take him to the vet's because he really didn't seem happy anymore. I'd always said as long as he had more better days than bad days.
Like you I have many photos and 20 years of happy memories stored in my head. I'm a week ahead of you and it still hurts, and I still cry, but it does get better. And you know you have done what was best for you cat.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012
