After very dark/black wood treatment, any advice

Hi I have built a fancy shed in my garden and I am about to clad it with featheredge but I want the featheredge to be black when it is finished.
I have been advised to treat the featheredge on both sides before putting it up. Also I have seen some sheds like mine in garden centres and they had done them in real nice dark black but not paint so what I am after really is a treatment that will give this colour and potect the wood at the same time. Dark Creosote substitute is no where near enough dark and lightens after a while a bit, I want something that will stay black for as long as possible.
The shed is quite big ie 6m x 2.5m x 3m high so it would good if I could find something I can buy in larger quantities rather than buying loads of £10 tins etc.
Any ideas, anyone done this themselves etc?
Any help appreciated.

This is about the best coating you can buy. They do it in Ebony which is very black (blackboard black).........I can't really recommend the company selling it as I have never dealt with them although their price looks pretty good to me....Its expensive stuff but you won't find anything better
Every few years you just wash down and re-coat all very easy.It is very thin and will splash everywhere so sheet up your patio slabs if you have them.....You can brush it on or spay ....
Good luck leveller0 -
TBH, if you can't locate the above, then any exterior ebony woodstain will do. As stated, ebony stain is black, though as it's not a popular colour, then you may struggle to find it in large tins.
