I ordered an Xbox Connect in November to be delivered on 8th December. On 9th December I looked at the delivery status and found that it had been send to Home Delivery Network (same company as VERY). Then for the next week I was phoning and emailing VERY on a daily basis as I saw the parcel going in and out of the Blackburn depot like a yo-yo. I tried to link to the delivery site and it was suspended. I tried phoning the delivery centre but the reference VERY gave me was wrong so they wouldn't do anything. The people at VERY were very pleasant but I just could not get them to take any action. Eventually the parcel ended up in Ireland! Needless to say I've asked for a full refund and for them to close my VERY account and now I will have to get my son's main Christmas present elsewhere. I didn't even get an apology in the email that said they would refund the cost. Will never go near them again and will certainly not recommend them to anyone.

Just an update to the saga. The parcel has now been sent to the Rochdale depot and VERY will not refund me until they have received the item back - I have had to go out and buy the item again so I am now out of pocket and getting nowhere in getting my refund,. I have written to the Company CEO but don't expect any action but it felf good to vent my frustration.0

Good luck thoughIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
VERY and HDN are two totally separate, distinct, trading entities and have no connection other than VERY use HDN to deliver stuff for them (as do thousands of other Companies) - don't know why you think HDN are "same company as VERY".0

To answer your question, To quote from The Times in Jan 2010:-
'HDN was last year split from Shop Direct Group, the home shopping company that owns Littlewoods and Great Universal.' (and Very)

Both companies are owned by the Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, so I would disagee they do have a connection - all be it now at ownership level rather then operational level.0
