Is Kingston a good make ? This was £16.99 yesterday and now it's £11.49

Can anyone tell me if there is a better make or is it all much of the same ?

AND.......... what is the difference between a data traveller and a flash pen drive ?

data traveller is just the name Kingston give to their USB drives - it is the same thing as a USB pen

If it has not been 30 days then you may be able to claim back that fiver. I bought a few items from amazon which have reduced in price within 30 days. I read somewhere that amazon have a 30 price promise where they will refund the difference should such a situation happen. Each time I made a claim they did indeed pay back the small amounts the price had reduced.
Send them an email quoting your order number and 30 day price promise(I actually don't know what this promo is officially called so I made it up - it worked though). The worst they could say is no.
