Hi Folks

I want to do a line test on my line but my number is supressed and when i dial i get an engaged tone,ive tried using 1470 before i dial but still get the engaged tone,i pay my line rental to Sky and not BT

has anybody any ideas on how i could do a line test

    1) look on your bill
    2) dial your mobile
    3) phone the operator
    4) when someone calls you, ask them what number they dialed

    don't know of any LLU operatiors that run the equivalent of the BT quiet line test, the best you can get is a voice telling you your number :( not helpful for diagnostics, admittedly.

    What is the problem you're suffering from, voice or broadband related ??

    I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    Im having noise on my line and wanted to check it via the Quiet Line Test,as for broadband couldnt be happier(touch wood)getting 16mb connection with Sky!

    If you have noise on the line, you need to report it as a voice fault, in your case to sky :)
