Hi, i recently paid £446.00 to EuroDisney for a trip i plan to take in February.
At first on my online account it was showing as payment pending and had deducted amount from balance, it was like this for a week. I then checked again and this time there was no sign of a pending payment or that amount deducted it was just showing as if i never made the payment. After 4 weeks its still showing the same!!
I have contacted Eurodisney and they have assured me three times now that the bank has authorised payment.
What happens next will i be able to go on holiday?
Do i have to keep that money in there till someone realises they have made a mistake?
What happens if i accidently go into it then they take the money and i am left with bank charges?
I went to the bank and they have no record of transaction and that if they have made a mistake then it will sort itself out soon!
Please can someone tell me what to expect?

Yes, they will take the moneyDo i have to keep that money in there till someone realises they have made a mistake?
Yes, as it will go out anywayWhat happens if i accidently go into it then they take the money and i am left with bank charges?
Then you'll have spent money knowing that you haven't got it, and will be responsible for the chargesI went to the bank and they have no record of transaction and that if they have made a mistake then it will sort itself out soon!
It will get sorted, likely they did the test auth to be sure that you have the means to pay, leave the money in the account, it will go eventually

it's called an authorisation fall off, not terribly interesting. it remains valid for 6 months and the funds can be deducted at any time within the validity period when the merchant so chooses to submit it for processing - inbetween that time you could go overdrawn right to your limit, when the payment finally gets taken you would simply go over your authorised limit, an authorisation once obtained cannot be revoked by anyone other than the merchant.0

Yup expect the money to be taken0

Authorisation drop off is correct. Valid up to 6 weeks. Most payments are taken by the merchant after 3 days (excluding sundays but including saturdays). Nothing can be done by your bank as they have authorised the payment. I'm sure it is simply a computer glitch. Do you have a receipt to fall back on or confirmation email?0
