I guess it's rare for people to leave good comments on here.

I used to be with Spark Energy, so perhaps anything looks good after them, but we recently switched to npower, and not only are they a third of the price of our previous supplier but the customer service is excellent.

Sometimes the queue on the phone is long, but they can call you back automatically when you reach the front, which saves minutes on my phone.

They were supposed to switch us from an Economy 7 to a standard meter, but due to an issue with Spark (Spark's fault, not nPower) it took a couple of weeks longer than expected.

However, when I phoned up to ask about the delay, they assured me that whenever it was, they would backdate everything as if I had been on a standard rate all along. 2 days later I got a letter in the post apologising for the inconvenience and saying they'd credited my account with £50!

So I don't know what all the fuss is about! Maybe I've just been lucky, but they seem to know what they're doing, get things sorted quickly, they're cheap and helpful!

I recommend them, but make sure they're the cheapest for you!

you've just been lucky. I left npower in 2009 and am still fighting a £400 overcharge. Got get a gas refund along with many others, only because npower knew they were going to lose and have to pay people more.
