Cheapest suet?

Does anyone have any idea where i can but the cheapest suet?

Im making some treats for the birds tommorrow and need suet to help bind it, im also cooking roast beef as well, so loads of fat for the birds there also.

  • Supermarket - Atora.

Or if you buy kidneys from a real butcher, you might be able to get the real thing for free.

ETA: do the bird food after dinner, you could use the dripping from the joint instead.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

To be honest, I just open the box of Atora and mix it straight in with the birdseed that I put out in the bird house ... saves messing about binding it all together and all the birds love it too! It's soft and crumbly enough for them to eat it without fear of choking .. (even the baby birds were eating it in the Spring) ...

Heard today that fat rinds are a no-no to put out as the birds can't digest it, so at least suet is a good and safe way of helping them out. I put it out year round and am blessed with a garden full of birds for most of the day.
