Well i nearly managed a no spend day today.....im actually really angry with regards to the money ive had to spend today. Ive been on a training course, i was given a lift there and back and lunch was provided, so all in all a fab money saving day. However due to me been totally disorganised, not trying to make to many excuses....I have been working 2 jobs, around 55 hrs per week since June.....Ive managed to mislay my mot cert and as my car tax is due....Ive had to pay £20 for a copy cert :( Im so angry with myself!!! But its a lesson learnt.... im going to have a huge clear out over the weekend so this cant happen again.

Also, ive just found out that i didnt get the job i went for and im totally gutted :(

So all in all ive had a !!!! day

Sorry about the job. LIfes horrible isnt it when that happens. I know how yu feel, I had the same thing happen myself not so long since. I consoled myself that it wasnt the right thing for me, and as one door closes etc.

Wel done on getting the IVA sorted though :D thats coool :)

You never know you might have a big tidy out at home this weekend and find something worth selling ;) We live in hope eh ?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Hi Pixie

Ive not seen you for ages. Good to see you again. Ive been away and actually when I came back and looked for you and saw you hadnt been around. You are working very hard and your progress and determination are admirable - hats off. Im afraid I dont know about your 42p IVA question but I suppose it means 58% of your debt is not payable - so I suppose that is good. Sorry about your job. Keep in touch.

    Hi peeps,

Well I'm still trying to get over the disappointment of not getting the
job, I have to say its hit me really hard I was totally gutted and so
tearful last night. Whilst I wasn't going to be getting a lot more
money I would have been given a company car as you have to have a car
of a certain age and mine right now doesn't fit the criteria. It would
have been a way for me to have a new car (a reliable car), sell my old
one, pay off some debts and cut my outgoings. I was given such great
feedback from both interviews too.....so disappointing!

Anyway, today was another day. I've tried to pick myself up and plod
along. I've been out and brought a small book so I can record all my
spending, do a food diary and also meal plan for the week ahead. I
also went and brought a cheap piggy bank, he's my 'festive pig'. I'm going
to save all my tips from the pub which I get on a weekly basis and keep
them towards Christmas 2007. I know this sounds a LONG way off but as
I haven't budgeted for this Christmas at all and its my first credit card
free crimbo, I want to be better prepared for it next year. *Just a
side note, I don't get a lot of tips, I'm obviously a crap barmaid LOL

Well I'm at the pub tonight again but its my last night this week which
I'm pleased about as I'm really tired. I should also get my first lot
tips for my piggy :) Tomorrow night I'm calling round to get all of my
balances etc for my IVA and if I get chance I will start to sort a few
things out to sell on ebay.

I'm really preparing to start planning ahead, menu planning, spending
diary extra 100% from Sunday. I need to get my head straight so I can
focus fully on all of these things so that I don't fall at the first
hurdle. I cant afford to fail as this has got to become a way of life
for me. Sorry to waffle on like this, but by writing it here, it makes
it feel me real if you know what I mean.

Lenny - Lovely to see that you're still around! I bet you were glad
you missed the world cup in the end! Thanks for the PM, unfortunately
as I didn't get it in time as I haven't had the time to play here that
much over the summer, so I missed the programme but it may well of
pushed me over the edge anyway LOL.

    Have a great night everyone!

    Pixie

Oh just to tip me right over the edge, Ive just recieved a the copy of my mot cert and paid for my car tax on-line......you dont even need the details off the darn thing! So I wasted £20 by getting a copy!! They just check the mot data base or something like that:mad:
    :jDebt Free At Last!:j
  • I lost my MOT cert as well once, I tore about the house looking for it before toddling along to the centre and paying for a copy. I got my disc and returned to the car. I decided to put my MOT into my glove box for safekeeping, and what did I find?? Yes you've guessed my original certificate where I had left it just so I would not lose it!
Total Debt at start of challenge : ££26563.92
    Total Debt now: ££26563.92 :T
    39 till 30 challenge amount needed:£10792. _pale_
    39 till 30 challenge amount received/saved: £0 :j
39 weeks till the big 3-0!

Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Well im still on track but i have realised that things wont be sorted before christmas which is a shame. I need to get together two months worth of statements etc and since hubby invested in a shredder i havent been keeping anything. Its not all bad though at least i wont stress about trying to get things together quicker etc.

Having a great weekend, managed to clear out two rooms. Ive dropped off a load of stuff to my local charity shop as i just dont have time to stand at a car boot but i have kept the good stuff to list on ebay which i will do tomorrow.

I also went to tesco and brought some bits to add to freezer things i need to get rid of :)

My spending diary is working too :) so its a positive weekend all in all.

    Hugs
