Hi Everyone,
Sorry i havent been around much over the last few months, ive been working really hard trying to make ends meet by doing two jobs and totally shattering myself in the process.
A little update, whilst i have not managed to pay any additional money off my debts my DMP is going well (pd approx 3.5k off since feb), all creditors accepted my offer of payment via cccs. My second job has made it a lot easier, getting used to not living on credit and now im ready to start paying more of my debt off each month so i can be debt free quicker. It was a huge shock for me having to budget every single penny, having my extra income as made things a lot easier.
Tomorrow i have a telephone interview with a company via cccs for an IVO i think this is my best option but it all does depend on if they can actually do one for me as Im married and live in a home that has some equity (SP) not a lot but some but the house is not in my name. Its a tricky situation. We will see
Well i just wanted to pop by and say hello to everyone and promise to post more often as I know i can do more to become debtfree and also budget alot better.
Hugs
Pixie
:j I have decided to make this into my on-line debt diary so i can waffle on and get some advice and support along the way
I will post as often as I can :j

Thanks everyone, your kind thoughts obviously worked!
I spoke to a really nice lady who went through everything i needed to know.
What she has suggested (she has checked with an insolvency practitioner if this is ok and it is) is that as I have the right to a small amount of equity in my home, that I agree to a 6 year IVA rather then a 5 year on the condition that my house is totally detached from the arrangement. There are other conditions attached to this too, things I need to look into over the next week or so but right now things are looking a lot brighter then they were a few hours ago.
We also went through my expenditure and my payments to the IVA would only increase by approx £9 from that I pay on my DMP right now (my circumstances have changed a little since I arranged my DMP)
Based on these figures and the fee’s involved etc it would mean I would pay back 42p to the £. Does anyone with any experience in these things think this is an ok figure?
Anyway, thanks for all the good thoughts, I will keep you all posted as to what happens next. I need to sit down and think things through fully, my DMP will last for 9 years, IVA 6 years etc etc.
Thanks again

Well after an afternoon of thinking everything over while I was meant to be working
Im actually a little excited at the thought of things been sorted out fully with an IVA. I know that they are reassessed every year but it seams a much more final / secure option.
Im working in my local pub for the next three nights so I wont have chance to collect all of the balances etc together until Thursday evening but at least I should have everything by the weekend.
The lady who i spoke to today is sending me a booklet out in the post to read through and then once Ive made my final choice I need to call her back, most likely next Monday or Tuesday.
On a side note, i applied for a new job a few weeks ago and I should know if I have got it or not by Wednesday. I really hope I have, it will a big difference to me, not particually money wise but happiness wise.
Moneywise I have only spent 35p on a bag of crisps for lunch and i will spend 50p on a drink tonight behind the bar i work in.
Tomorrow i need to buy a new money diary book so i can carry it around with me and account for every penny.
Sorry to waffle
