hi
We are looking to have our 42 inch flat screen tv to our internal wall but the two companies we have spoken to say it can only be fitted to an external wall. Does anyone know if this is right and any advice re this would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.
oh and not sure if this makes any difference but the wall we want it to go on is actually a chimney breast

So its not an internal stud wall , but a solid chimney breast ... thats a result.
Ideal to hang a tv off , mines bigger and heavier at 50inches.
Just get the height right , mines only 70 cms off the floor.0 -
I went one step further and recessed the dvd player and virgin + box in the disused fire place . all cables up thru old chimney , Result was no wires showing .... wife was pleased.0

It would be a bit of a push to safely fix a 42" TV to a stud wall, but easy enough to do on a brick chimney breast.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
thank you so much for your replies- I am really pleased that this can be done - not going to attempt it myself will get a handyman or someone in.
Thanks again :j0
