Still no parcel from smyths!!

I ordered my son a vtech camera for christmas on the 2/12 was told 2-6 days delivery. I got in touch with smyths through facebook and was given my tracking number this was a week later ..on the 10/12 it was loaded onto the van for delivery ..update at 1:30 saying unable to deliver due to servere weather.

tried to ring them but couldnt find a phone number on website so emailed them asking if i could pick up from local depot and i was told i can not as they need to attempt to deliver it and can pick up after they leave me a calling card.

16/12 loaded onto van for delivery sms notification sent out . waited and waited checked the tracking at 4pm and just says unable to deliver parcel.

17/12 loaded onto van for delivery sms notification sent out . waited and checked at 2pm and says unable to deliver due to servere weather conditions check back here for reguar updates.

emailed them and asked why on the 16/12 it was not delivered and to be mailed back ..i can confirm your parcel is in our nottingham depot and due to bad weather we have had are experiencing some delays .

sent another yesterday and got the same response and also stating that they are working sat and sunday too.

checked tracking this morning and still at depot . doesnt look like it will be delivered today

i was going to try and get my money back from smyths but i dont think it would be here before christmas and idont have the money to go out and buy another one.

i am soo frustrated with them .

on the news last night it said that smyths had cancelled all orders as they cant deliver although it didnt say what the cut off date was .

aww i really hope not!

if smyths were cancelling all orders would have thought they would let people know But it is smyths and are rubbish with customer service. i emailed them ..rang them and in the end noticed they had a facebook page so got in contact that way.

just had a quick look at smyth site and it appears that they are estimating delays from 1 day to 5 days depending where you are in the country and they arent taking anymore orders for the next few days.

it was supposed to arrive yesteday ..got a text at around 10am telling me my parcel would be here between 8am and 12
i had to go out so left a note on my door telling them where to leave it.

gets home around 6pm and nothing i went and asked neighbours in flat block if they had seen a courier come in and they said no . checked on tracking and still said loaded onto van for delivery ....still says that now from yesterday bit weird just hope it comes soon !

Smyths cannot be exactly responsible for the snow ??

I know its frustrating but if the weather improves there are still 5 days for delivery

its very frustrating seen as though i ordered on the 2nd.
dpd recieved the parcel on the 6th and still have not delivered . I understand they may have a backlog of parcels to deliver but my parcel has been loaded onto van for delivery few times now and not turn up.

the frustrating bit is the depot is not that far around 30 miles and when i asked if i can pick up from depot i am not allowed untill they have tried to deliver and left me a calling card.

i just hope they deliver before thursday as we going away for xmas then.
