Pay day loans should be banned !!!

I'd prefer they read what I wrote first. They are suggesting that not everyone fails to pay back their pay day loans. It might surprise them to learn I have never failed to pay back a pay day loan either (this is the reason I can borrow the max from all the companies because I have such an excellent repayment record with them all, I may have had a case where I was unable to pay them back ON TIME, but they were eventually repaid in full). SO they obviously have not been reading anything I have been writing.
Now that has made me laugh when you say you can borrow Max amount from these companies as you have a great repayment record.
I bet your proud of yourself.0 -

I am trying to highlight the fact that everyone who keeps having a go at me on here clearly hasn't read a flipping word I've being writing, yet will blast me for not taking onboard the suggestions they have given me , which is the same rehashed advice I've been hearing for 5 years....0 -
Hello again cisco how did you find the DFW board then.
Did they offer sound advice like we suggested they might,or did they give you the same treatment as we did and,
"clearly didn't read a flipping word you've being writing" ?
I blame the banks personally, how about you ?Space available for rent0 -
Getting back to the OP (and preventing ciscokid from hijacking this thread completely), I personally have never used payday loans although I did use Provident (who are probably just as bad) once many years ago. I had money taken from my account fraudulently and although the bank promised to refund the money within 6 weeks, they wouldn't give me an overdraft to see me through until this happened (I was a fulltime student/part-time worker at the time with limited resources). I was desperate and Provident came to my aid. I repaid the loan on time and that was the end of the matter. I see no reason why this facility should be removed from those who need it and can use it responsibly, just because others cannot.
As others have said, the problem here is your husband not the payday loans companies.0 -
I dont care on personal circumstances surrounding betting football...but when I see 40 football thugs kicking seven shades of sh*t out of one person sporting the opposite scarf I know that at least 1 in 40 must have had some amount of money involved that has fuelled their rage, in addition to the alcohol and apparent lack of brains they have (evident by the fact they'd gladly routinely waste 90 minute of their life watching guys run around a field who earn more per month that they will in their life)
Sports betting ("i've no issues with my gambling") types paid for my christmas last year though..so carry on
You admit to spending £300 a month on online gambling. I don't know how many presents you buy but I could have a pretty good Christmas for £36000 -

This is why I don't talk to GA...you don't quite understand if I was to gamble £300 a month I would not lose £3600 a year....
And I never said I gamble £300 a month...0 -
cisco you clearly have a problem, i sports bet, i even buy shares on the london stock exchange, when i've got a few grand spare.
Am i gambling possibly, but at the time being i can afford to lose it. If your not in this position seek counselling debt, addiction help.
I know when i can stop. thats the reason i'd never smoke crack or heroin, or deny all responsibility for getting into a financial mess
When i was 21 i worked as a stockbroker and lost £5,000 in a single trade, I'd just taken a loan to get a new car, you know what i did, i used the loan to pay off the debt and then bought a banger, for that three years i learned from my mistake and drove a wreck of a car
a smart person would listen to both sides of the story and weigh up the facts and make responses with clear well thought out solutions, you simply do not have the ability to reason and see the point of view of others. that is the main thing you learn from education.
Appologies for coming across as a complete s***, but come out of your buble and listen, then take steps to eradicate your problems0 -

Hey cisco!
What makes you think we didn't read it? I read every word (more fool me
). However it was plainly obvious to all that you were talking complete bull. On one side of the argument...you, on the other side of the argument...dozens and dozens of people.
What should that tell you? That people aren't reading what you say, or that you are simply wrong, wrong, wrong? Read your own signature please, it's entirely appropriate.
And by the way, how is your quest for a £15,000 loan before Xmas going? Ready to try another way yet? (fat chance)0 -

Was trying to fit in with the rest on here and take a one dimensional "I AM RIGHT YOU WRONG" type approach....and can sympathise 100% with why you didn't appreciate it!
But originally, I was making a social comment that sports betting is responsible for a hell of a lot of social problems....pop over to youtube, type in football hooligans...and despair for humanity...I know the vast majority of these idiots are taking out their anger over the amount of money they have just lost backing their favourite (losing) team....I used to sit alongside these idiots (whilst taking their money off them) at the poker table....I don't have the spare money to do this anymore....
If you're big into gambling I'm sure you know the name Amarillo Slim...do you know how he built his first serious bankroll? A practice which is still rife today....sports betting will never be +EV for anyone but those in the industry (good example being Tony Bloom)0
