What feedback would you leave?

I won an auction for a make up bag for just £1 and £1 P+P. I checked out straight after auction and sent a cheque off the very same day. 5 days later, i hadn't received the item or heard anything from the seller at all, so emailed him to see if they had received the cheque. I gave them 2 days to reply, but i didn't hear anything from them. So i resent the email through ebay just in case they didn't receive the 1st one. 2 days later, still no reply. So i resent the email again from a different email account and through ebay again. 3 days later... Guess what? STILL no reply. :mad:
2 days later..14 days after the end of auction..the item turns up?! I still never heard anything from the seller.

Not only this, i checked my online banking and they haven't, to date, cashed the cheque. So there goes " I was waiting for your £2 cheque to clear even though you have 100% feedback of 500+" excuse out the window.

They have left me positive feedback (and so they should!) but my dilemma is, should i leave a neut or should i leave a postitive stating the lack of communication and the slow shipping?

I would leave them positive.
You got the item and they probably havent got around to cashing the cheque.

.... so why bother. If you leave a pos with comments or a neutral/neg, you will probably get a neg in return.
If you leave a pos (no comment) you will almost cetainly get nothing in return.

My advice. DO Nothing

i would give positive. But state in it that there was alck of communication.

Seeing as they have already left feedback, leave what you feel appropriate in the knowledge that they can't retaliate. In my book, 14 days delivery and no reply to any emails is not a positive experience.

I've got one at the moment driving me crazy. I was persuaded against my better judgement to go for an auction where the buyer didn't accept paypal. I won the auction on the 2nd February and posted a cheque the same day (I hate cheques BTW).

Didn't hear a thing so on the 14th I emailed seller to ask if all was OK and he told me that my item was posted that day.

Still hasn't arrived.

I'm really cross that I allowed my son to persuade me to buy on ebay using a cheque, never again. In future it is paypal or nothing.

Hopefully my item will arrive tomorrow but it seems a long wait.

I wonder if Soolin and i bought from the same seller! I also hate paying by cheque, but sometimes you get the best bargains from sellers that don't accept Paypal as a lot of buyers, like me and Soo hate the cheque thing.
Yeah ok i got a bargain, but they made the decision to start it at that price and took that chance.
Besides, thats not really in question. What is is the lack of communication and slow shipping. As a buyer i like to have some form of contact from the seller just for a piece of mind really. Communication on eBay often solves soooo many problems without having to leave a neut or a neg.

I bet they would of contacted me if i had been a NPB!

I would leave either neutral or a positive along the lines - Great bag BUT no communication and slow delivery.
Oh no, I forgot - eBay (*****) have suspended me (see my post if you are interested) so i cannot leave any feedback!!!!

Bargain babe..it feels horrible knowing we can't do anything to hurry these sellers along. If my item ever arrives I will be tempted to leave a positive feedback but leave a sarcastic comment like 'item finally arrived', but I am too scared he will leave me a neg so will probably just not bother with any feedback.

Like you I only bought this item because it was cheaper than his rivals were selling at, you don't get so much competition when the seller only wants cheques, but I think I would have preferred to pay a little extra and bought from one of his competitors and used paypal.
