Hi all,
I'm just about to upgrade my hard disk and need to clone my old drive onto my new one.
Any tips??
Many thanks.

buy either acronis trueimage or symantec ghost.
there was a link in an earlier post to get a free copy of trueimage 7, though not sure if it is till valid.
why do you need to clone though, why not add your new drive as a second hard disk?Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
Thanks I'll look for either of those.
I have a shuttle mini system which can only support 1 hd, so I have to copy everything over.0 -
Thanks albertross.

Thanks Chippy - came across that site earlier. This prog. from there looks interesting:

What do you think?0 -
It looks OK, though not used it myself.
Another one is Image for Windows. I've used their BootIt Next Generation tool which is excellent, so on that basis I can recommended it. Last time I looked the downloads were 30 day trials with full functionality, however the web site makes no mention of that now.0 -
Thanks again Chippy. I've downloaded it and it seems fully functional in trial mode, though no mention of when the trial mode expires. I'll give it a go.0

You could always get an external HDD enclosure from ebay and put the 2nd drive in for extra storage. Could be worth consideration.
Cheers
