Why not? The Police regularly put off football games because of the surrounding area, even when the pitch is playable.
That may be the case with football, but it isn't in this case and more likely would not include anything, from the Hall'e Orchestra to Thrash Metal Gig's, the policing of such an event remains limited to within the concert theatre.

Heartbreaking as it is, there is little can be done about a refund. Although nothing ventured is nothing gained, there's no harm in trying.

But dont put your hopes up too high, as unfortunately I think you will find they are covered by this "Act of God" leaving only the hopes of a "goodwill" gesture.

I find it incredible that TicketMaster can get away with this.

    Get away with what?
They are not responsible for the snow or your travel arrangements so why on earth should they give you a refund if the concert goes ahead?

Agreed..if the event proceeds and you do not attend that it falls into the same category as disinclination to travel (re holidays).

After all,if the performers got there and all the support staff and venue workers got there then it might be reasonable to expect that a good proportion of the audience would also get there.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I had tickets for skating at Hampton Court at 5:15pm on Sat 18th Dec... but all trains on that branch were cancelled that day.

I checked the Hampton Court website in the morning and it said it was OPEN AS USUAL.
Then I checked it again at about 2pm and it said it was CLOSED due to adverse weather (i tried phoning various lasminute.com and Hampton court numbers but couldn't reach anyone)
Then I checked it again at 3:30 and is said it was OPEN AS USUAL.

I couldn't get there anyway because I was relying on cancelled trains, but do I have a case for a refund / reschedule? I don't really know how, exactly, I would be expected to use the information on the website because it didn't say what sessions were cancelled... how often and close to the booking should Hampton Court expect me to check the thing?

Interested to hear any opinions / tips. Thx.

My friend has tickets for cirque du soleil at the Albert hall this afternoon, booked direct with the venue.
I also have tickets for the matinee of the wizard of oz at the palladium today booked through last minute.com.
    Both booked on credit card.

We are all unable to get there because of the snow:mad:

If the events go ahead, as I assume they will, is there any way of getting our money back for the tickets?:o
