Has anyone any knowledge on buying a new build? we are looking at a new build and have had a look round some houses already built, but how can we find out other peoples reviews on specific developers? Persimmon Homes & Charles Church in particular.

I've just brought a Charles Church (part of Persimmon Group) due to complete next week! So far so good, smooth ride, couldn't be more helpful, everything going to plan, good choice over finishes, I've visited nearly every week since I paid by reservation deposit and they've been very accomodating. Everybody has their views on new builds but I specifically wanted one and so far so good.0

I bought a new build and have been happy with it, I think the build quality will be more down to the site managers and ppl under them that the company itself so its down to luck.0

If the house is already built, I would have a full structural survey done to make sure they are not any problems. Most problems with new builds are because buyers have exchanged so the builder no longer cares about the build/finish.0

I read your post when I was originally looking, very helpful, thank you.0 -
do a search for brand new homes with a -after brand ,,will not let me post a link...strange!!!
a really good siteIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
