Help please. Is this blu ray player any good?

Marks and Spencers have an offer on a
Panasonic DMP-BD45 Blu-ray™ Player at £89.



And I think there might have been a 10% code around so that would bring it down to £80 if the code is still valid.

Or Best Buy have a
Toshiba BDX2100 Blu-ray Player at £79.99.

Are either of these any good? Or does anyone have any suggestions for a below £100 blu ray player please? Should I wait until after Christmas are they likely to go into the sales?

The sony S370 is the one to buy if you want the best bluray player under 200 quid

You won't find a bad review of the sony S370 anywhere. You can get it for £115 at the moment which is a little over your budget, but Richer Sounds had it on sale for £99 earlier this year so look out for it in the sales.

If you are not interested in any additional features, bells and whistles and only want to watch Bluray with video/audio bitstreamed over HDMI to your TV or AV receiver then it doesn't really matter which one you choose.

Edit: Forgot to say, there is one significant difference between players and that is disc loading times which can vary a lot. If this is an important factor in your choice then look at the specs.
