The winning Real Homes reader will be able to design their kitchen with the help of B&Q’s kitchen designers and in-store experts...The designers will help plan the space free of charge during an appointment in store or at your home; fitting to existing gas and plumbing supplies, plus tiling and plastering can be included as part of the £10,000 prize package.

All B&Q kitchens are made from sustainable timber sources and are FSC-certified, plus your old kitchen will be removed and disposed of responsibly. An accredited installer will fit your replacement kitchen and give a two-year fitting guarantee for peace of mind. All work carried out on B&Q’s behalf is independently audited to Government-approved standards.

Competition specific terms and conditions

* Entries should be received by 4 February 2011, with online entries accepted until 4pm that day.
* There is one prize of a Cooke & Lewis or IT kitchen from B&Q up to the value of £10,000, including installation.
* The prize may consist of any combination of cupboard units, doors and drawer fronts, handles, island units, worktops, sinks, taps, tiling, flooring, lighting, storage, accessories and installation costs up to the value of £10,000, with any cost over this amount to be made up by the winner.
* The prize does not include appliances.
* The prize does not include any building work that may be required such as removal of a gas/electricity/water supply. This work must be completed by the customer to the necessary certified building standards prior to the kitchen being fitted.
* The prize must be claimed before 31 January 2012. If the prize is not claimed, it will be offered to the runner-up.
* Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.
* The winner’s details may be used for marketing purposes.
* Entry into the prize draw is deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
* The competition is open to citizens of the UK, with delivery to mainland UK only.
* Entry is available to UK residents over the age of 18 except B&Q employees, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
