Application for bank account

I currently already have a joint bank account with HSBC and applied online for a current account in my own name, application went through fine - I got a phonecall today from someone at HSBC who said I needed to talk to someone on the phone about it etc, she asked if I wanted to be put through at the time - I didn't, Ive pretty much lost my voice at present, so she gave me a number to call them on.
Just wondering what do they need to speak to me about? surely they have all my details from when I opened the joint account with my partner - they wanted tonnes of information from me then.

Possibly it was a courtesy call or maybe they wanted to offer you some additional product/service.

The only way of finding out is by contacting them.

If she called you, how do you know she and the the number she gave really be longs to HSBC? Crooks I understand have been known to use this method.

When you do contact HSBC make sure it is on a phone number you know really does belong to the bank.
