I don't think Natwest like me !

I applied for a e-savings account with Natwest quite a few weeks ago, now I used to bank with Natwest and still have my log in details for internet banking.
So after many weeks of returning the application and hearing nothing back I decided to see if anything was online only to be greeted with the message of 'No accounts to display' after logging on.
So I had a look at a Natwest e-isa account, this can be opened online so I applied and was given my sort code and account number and the next day it appear on my online banking !, excellent or so I thought !.
Next morning I get a email to say that my statement is available to view online, bit odd I thought as the account has only just been opened, logged in and got the message 'No accounts to display', so it looks like my account has been closed, no letter so far to tell me that but thats how it looks !.
I cant understand why, strange this is a few weeks prevoius I applied for a RBS e-savings account, was accepted and thats still showing as live on RBS online banking, now I thought if I was refused by Natwest I would be refused by RBS as they are the same company ?.
I did have a run in with Natwest last year about a 5 year bond being miss-sold and incorrect interest being applied, took them to the FOS and received quite a bit in compensation and loss of interest and also cancelled my 50k bond as a result, could this have upset them ?.

What do you think?
Are you you trying to waste everybody's time or did you actually want to invest some money into these accounts?0 -

I am not trying to waste anyone's time, I got left a large inheritance, NatWest Miss-sold the bond and paid the wrong interest the FOS got involved and agreed and as it was miss-sold I could close the bond early with no financial loss.
As for the other accounts I need them, I prefer to spread my money around and not have it in just one financial institution, its just they don't see it that way !.
We are only protected up to 50k compensation limits, the bulk of that is in Lloyds, some in Barclays and all that's left is RBS or Natwest as I certainly don't trust Santander !, I simply wanted some easy access savings accounts to use a 'Pots' to put money away for certain things during the year.
I would just like to find out why NatWest do this, although I don't suppose I will ever find out.

Its most likely because you have had dealing with them in the past, at the end of the day they can choose who they do business with.
There a naff bank anyway ;-)Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Is it possible that you need to hold another account with them before you are allowed to open these "e" accounts?0

It didn't used to be - it seems more likely they just don't want the OP.
Don't be surprised if your RBS e-savings either now or in the future closes. Is it possible that you need to hold another account with them before you are allowed to open these "e" accounts? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. What did they say when you asked them ?0 -
My bitter experience is that you would be forgiven for thinking RBS and Nat West have diametrically oposed policies towards customers. RBS want customers and Nat West hate them. They are not the same bank in any case, they are just part of the same group.0
