just found this site. first post, Am hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction.
Was watching Rip-off-Briton on BBc this week and one story got me thinking.
My story.
I've had my Credit Card for the past 13-14 years, paying PPI, 6 years ago I retired, so for the last 6 years I've continued paying PPI. like the person in the programme I understand that is in case you're sick etc, you claim so that you don't fall behind on your account.
As I live on only a government pension I will only lose that if I'm Hospitalised for six weeks or more.
Question is therefore can I claim a rebate for the last six years.
I shall look forward to members erudite replies.

Hi and welcome
The policy would in my opinion be worthless to you in regards of your circumstances anyway, so you can give it a go at least.
So basically you want to request a refund of the PPI over the last 6 years since retirement?
All you do is complete the reclaiming questionnaire, this replaced the template letter on this site, send to the head office of whoever set up your policy, and on your questionnaire give your reasons for the last 6 years and confirm you believe the policy would not "fully" protect you due to your retirement and any other reasons you may also have.
Save copies of all you send and receive in case you need to refer to this again, they should get back by 8 weeks.
The questionnaire you will find here:

Keep at them if you have to, good luck and please keep us posted, cheers.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
