  • Please please please if anybody out there is planning on making a claim for mis sold PPI dont use The Fairtrade Practise. I have had the unfortunate misery of using them to pursue a claim and it has turned out to be the biggest headache ever.

They have constantly told me misleading information including a text message to say the money will be in my account the following day which when I checked my bank and it hadnt been credited I rang the FTP to find out what was going on. Two different people told me it would be in my account on two seperate dates. When I raised a complaint with them it turned out that the company I was claiming against (Northern Rock) had in fact requested more info from me and that they werent even in a position to process any payments!!!!

P*ss up in a brewery springs to mind....

I constantly chase them to see whats going on and still havent got any closer to finding out whats going on. Even found the directors email address to see if he could help but am still waiting!!!!

Search on the internet for PPI claims specialists and do your homework before settling with one or even try and pursue a claim yourself and dont line the pockets of idiots like The Fairtrade Practise!!

Or better yet, just make your own complaint alone and for free!

This company should be called the unfair trade practice. The 'customer' reviews on their website are either written by people who work for them or they are family members of people who work for them so they get a speedy and helpful service because they have someone on the inside doing all the work. One of the reviews is shockingly written by the marketing manager of the company saying he received a great service, would use them again and will be referring them to friends and family. The comments I've seen on here from 'Jimi' is actually the company accountant who pays the wages so he would recommend them! The average length if service from employees is less than 4 months so there is a huge staff turnover and nobody really knows what they are doing. And it's true they tell you in induction that they grew from crystal clear home loans and yes many of the staff did used to sell ppi themselves ironically. Also they are under investigation by the ministry of justice. So yes I wholeheartedly agree use the templates and do it all yourself it will be much cheaper and the service will be better!
  • Further to Jimi's comment. The fair trade practice and the protection specialists are the same company and they did used to be crystal clear home loans.
