Goals for week commencing 29 October / goals for month of November

Options
Last week: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=288084

Eat breakfast at home to avoid buying stuff on way to work
- Did this.

NO shop lunches
- Only managed this one day. Then it was back to Eat for more overpriced lunches.

NO takeaway coffees
- Bought one on Friday. That's still a great improvement.

Take lunch and coffee stuff to work every day
- Only managed one day this week.

Travel by bus instead of train all week
- It worked for half of the week, then I reverted to the train.

NO drinking at home - only sociable visits to pub with friends
- I actually managed to do this. More like 30 units than 21, though.

Book all the holiday I'm entitled to. The allowance is being taken away soon.
- Four consecutive sets of four-day weekends booked. Hurrah.

Next week

Usual stuff: breakfasts at home, make lunch, no takeaway coffees
Cut down on spending - this week was over my target
No drinking at home
Sell some more CDs on Amazon

Another week, another set of goals I completely forgot about :o

    Morning All

    These are mine:

    1. Get money back off dad from paying for mums present Still waiting
    2. Sort out all match betting accounts - just found out that I've got another £70 due to hit my bank that I had forgotten about with cash zipping all over the place so do a check and make sure that there are no more surprise balances anywhere  All seems to be sorted now
    3. When all thats sorted figure out how much money I've got left for this month and try and set a reasonable budget. I've been a bit slack lately with little treats etc and so I'm not saving/paying off as much as I should be. Oops I did go out on Friday though with minimal spend so not too bad.
    4. Figure out Xmas present situation and who else I need to get presents for and then come up with some ideas. Yay got a couple more bargains sorted
    5. Start saving up for MOT/Service that is due at the end of the year. Nope - oops

I'll have to have a think about this weeks goals, I'll be back later ;)
The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese
  • Last week: Our goals this week are to spend as little as possible! Sounds like a rubbish goal doesn't it! lol!

Result.. well kind of did it as we did have to send a fair for of ebay stuff and get a top up shop so I'm going to claim a half victory..

This week: Spend less than £80 on food shopping for the month on tues
Start our 'november challenge' on wednesday (Spend no more than £10 per day and save all tax credits.)
Make the most of my last week at work before I finish to go on my maternity leave on Friday. :D
    Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
    Que sera, sera. <3
  • good thread... havent noticed this before... this will prob... get me focused on a few things..

this week i really need to knuckle down....on listing things on ebay as its now less than 8 weeks to christmas.
plus peeps have had their monthly pay...so got money to spend...and are looking for christmas pressies... and clothes for those christmas parties..:D

cash in money form the change jar.....as that is looking a bit healthy at mo...and put it towards water rates...

kids off school this week so get them to sort out toys that they dont play with anymore...

basically get back on top of things again... as i have got into a confort zone f spending again:eek: and only keeping a mental track of things... and forgeting about things... so...

to round it all up... this week....i will be kicking myself up the butt...
Work to live= not live to work
  • This is a really good thread .... it seems like you're ll doing really well towards your goals ... Please could I join in.

My goal won't be quite a ambitious some (cause reading some of these I'm not sure I could achieve half of what some of you have - I take my hat off to you all)

My goal will be this week not to spend more then £10 per day in total so £70 for the week for everything

    xx
