Signed up for a Halifax Reward account yesterday and... :)

They gave me a £50 bonus for free, right at the end of the process. The staff member just said 'We have a bit of money left in the kitty'.

I didn't ask about it or even know they had this promotion. So a very welcome surprise! Anyone else got this?

Signing up was fairly painless too. Nice staff!

Just thought I'd share, maybe it's worth asking about if you're signing up for an account.

They told me the changeover would be painless!!. Never had so much trouble with DD's not be paid, paid twice etc.Would never have changed had I known what a nightmare is was going to be.Hope yours goes better.:(
  • Horrendous. I've only got a couple of DD's so should be fairly easy to manage, but I am letting Halifax sort it out.

What should I look out for; payments coming out of both accounts for one bill?

ive signed up for this , afew DD's have moved over and closed off on my lloyds account , I had to cancel a standing order myself as i noticed it live on both Lloyds and BOS

I didn't get this when i signed up in January.

That said, the staff have been nothing but a help when i've been in. Offer to make a brew & what not.

Much more helpful/friendly than Nationwide who i've been with for 10 years or so.

I transferred over in branch and all went smoothly - OH signed up on-line - what a nightmare - took 4 months to sort out
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!
