M&S order nightmare!

what are m&s playing at? why do we get mixed messages between their call centre and their website when placing an order?

although the people in the call centre were all extremely nice, we achieved, together, the square root of naff all.

i placed an order on the m&s website for a festive hamper and some wrapping paper
the following day m&s call me to tell me my card had been declined. i was surprised, but thought, oh, maybe i've maxed out my card already? wow.. that was quick!
because i was driving when they called, i agreed to call back later to check my card details. before i ended the call, i asked if it would effect my delivery date to which the reply was 'no it won't'
excellent.

when i got home, i logged on to my hotmail, to find an email to say my order had been despatched.
confused? :exclamati:exclamati:exclamatime too..
so i checked my order on the website to find that my gift paper had been sent (to which the delivery charge was applied) and the hamper was not, saying there was a problem with the card.
confused? :exclamati:exclamatime too...
so, i called again. explained that i had placed 'one' order and that half of it was sent, the other half there was a problem with my card... but it was the same card! the operator didn't really understand how it had been split either but asked me for an alternative payment. i asked her to try the same card again, and the payment went though.
so, 1st, problem with the payment so i have no order
then, i have half an order, but still a problem with my card (same card)
then they take the remainder of the payment, with the same card still...

but now, the delivery date has changed, and they can't guarantee it before the end of the year, never mind christmas!!!

so how did they decide which parts of my order to send or not send, how was my card declined and then accepted - but my order split?

i've very disgrunted

i cancelled my whole order. and now i have only a couple of days left to find a christmas hamper, unlikely!!

m&s, why do you suck? just, because. the above.:mad::mad:
