Outlook 2007 & higher / MS 15th Dec 2010 Updates

I'm getting an issue with the MS updates of 15/12/10 I installed today. The ones for Outlook 2007 mess up the program. Others are reporting it too, so you may want to avoid them.
Some report that uninstalling KB2412171 resolved the issue.
If you have Outlook 2010 also installed it seems to "downgrade" the mailbox to Outlook 2007 and set that to the default mail client. Then fails when try to start 2010.

A system restore has resolved the issue temporarily. Not tried only installing the Windows updates and avoiding the Office ones, but it might be worth looking at.0

Seems that KB2412171 is a duffer and removing the update brings Outlook 2007 back to normal.ScratchandSniff-->[X] wrote: »A system restore has resolved the issue temporarily. Not tried only installing the Windows updates and avoiding the Office ones, but it might be worth looking at.
I wondered why Outlook was so sluggish and the archive function had apparently disappeared - Thanks for the heads up.
MS have removed the update and are working on a fix for the fix and the unemployment figures for Richmond CA. have gone up by 5
