Virgin Atlantic Sale!

Options
As per title, the Virgin Atlantic Sale has started - New York from £349, Miami £399, Orlando £429.

I would guess that AA, BA etc will all load their fares in the next day or so ... If they haven't already! ;)

Interesting that some sale fares are available for travel Easter Monday to 26 May 2011, great for those who can get the 3 working days off between Easter and the royal wedding/may bank holiday weekend and want to get away.

And why would any 'alien' willingly travel to the USA at any price?
  • I need dates for the end of August/beginning of September - any idea if/when they'll be put up?

You will be lucky to get any kind of reduction on summer holiday flights.

I have been following Vegas flights via Kayak - is it a coincidence that flight prices went up a few days before the Virgin sale???

Pass - I don't really follow Virgin pricing, but BA tend to be pretty consistent i.e. they don't increase their presale prices to make the sales look more of a bargain.

Well the return is after school goes back (Sept 11th of all dates) but it would be open-jaw (into San Fran, back from LA) so do sales only cover straight forward return flights?

The open jaw aspect should not be a problem, I normally do the same, but I still think you will struggle to ever get sale prices on those dates.

I wouldn't worry about flying on September 11th - I would imagine it is one of the safest dates you could fly on nowadays.

  • I'm not at all worried about the 9/11 flight - although I imagine the security checks will be a nightmare that day, but also that people will be scared off flying so a quieter flight?
