For the last three days I have been getting the following message on my PC:
"Host process for Windows services stopped working"
As well as this, it seems that my internet connection has gone haywire. Sometimes when I click on a favourite - all trusted sites like this one, there is a delay, ten I get redirected to a search engine.
Does anyone know if this is a Trojan/virus or a Microsoft problem.
I am running Vista (without any problems for three years).
Help!!!!
Andy

definitely run your anti-virus software; install mbam for excellent protection; try a system restore too/ the redirection does sound like possible malware infection /BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

Thanks, I did a system restore yesterday, back to a week ago, and it has not made any difference.
I have Windows defender operating, with Norton, and the firewall.
I use Firefox all the time.
I wondered if it had anything to do with Wikileaks attacking certain hosts?

unlikely/ unless it's happening on a specific site/ you might like the excellent noscript too for additional security -- addon for firefox :cool:/Thanks, I did a system restore yesterday, back to a week ago, and it has not made any difference.
