World Shortage of Scott's Porridge Oats?

Hi Everyone,

I get this for hubby as this is his favourite one, they seem to be sold out everywhere of them atm where I normally buy them (Morrisons, & Co-op) - just wondering if anyone knew why - or if they're discontinuing them/repackaging etc, etc,

Thanks in advance!

I think the bad weather affected supply we couldn't get any Scotts or Quaker oats last weekend in 3 different supermarkets in 3 different areas, plenty of the sachet stuff and ready brek, we ended up with Asda own brand which is OK but not quite the same as Scotts or Quaker.

Just shred some of the old boxes and use them instead.

Good idea! Not my cup of tea, oats I have to say :) I prefer Cheerios :)

Thanks, I'll try Tesco. I bought Sainsbury's taste the difference - yuk, he said that they didn't cook properly, I'm thinking that maybe they needed a bit more time as they seem more coarse, I'll suggest that to him (sorry thinking aloud now!)

Errm, I was joking actually ;)
  • If we are going to have as bad a winter spell as they say I think people will be stocking up on loads of things and not just oats.

I love Quaker Oats and they have been very hard to get where I live, had to go back to Corn Flakes for a few days :(
