Why are the new Solar Panel businesses popping up so rubbish?

So far I've filled in at least 5 forms stating my interest in geting solar panels fitted to my house. 1 company emailed to say I was out of area. 1 left a voicemail and then didn't chase me up. 3 didn't reply at all.
Is there any firms out there who want my business?
